I had a great experience here — the vibe is awesome, the place is clean, and everything is well organized. A special shoutout to Dhruva, who works here: he’s genuinely super cool, extremely helpful, and does an amazing job making guests feel welcome. You can tell he really cares and puts effort into what he does.

5 stars across the board. I couldn't say anything about the non-executive and balcony rooms as I only stayed in rooms with their own bathrooms. Price-wise it's great value for money. Can't beat the location for the price you pay. The rooms are spacious enough and clean. It's near every place you need. The staff were always helpful and courteous. If you are on a business trip and need an affordable but nice hotel room look no further.

Had a great stay at Space Hotel in Melbourne and it set unfairly high expectations for subsequent shared accommodation experiences for the rest of my Australia trip! I joined for the night market trip on the Wednesday I arrived which was facilitated by the lovely Ben who gave us some great tips for other places to visit in Melbourne. Staff were all lovely and friendly at check in and checkout times. I panic booked a private room for the first two nights as I hadn’t yet done a dorm but I needn’t have worried as the size of the bunks and the curtains make it feel like your own reasonable private space with plug sockets next to each bed. There were ample showers and toilets and I think I only found myself waiting on one occasion and not for long. The kitchen is spacious and has an indoor and outdoor seating area to eat. The rooftop is lovely and we joined for the bar crawl for which there were beers on the roof beforehand! The picture of the rooftop view is below. I would totally recommend for anyone looking to stay in and around the CBD area in Melbourne it was in a great location and a lovely experience.

A special experience here . luck of first room as below was broken that I had everything like phone/money/medicine inside room for 2 hr can’t do anything It was terrible but fixed later . I did suffer a panic night ; however the huge ,manager he upgraded my room and did one night refund. things happened all the time and it depends on how much a hostel/hotel care for customer service . I would say the compensation was okay. I appreciate for either the night shift and Huge manager their effort, would recommend private ensuite at higher floor which has a very good view. Single room is budget enough but if shower at late night may not be very clean.

By far the best Hostel I’ve stayed in! The rooms are so great and well maintained & cleaned! The rooftop is absolutely gorgeous with great view of the city skyline, and you can enjoy the hot tub as well :) Overall a very social hostel as well, full of younger people traveling as well!

Stayed here for 2 nights in the private room. Great little space. Slept great and has a nice view of the city. Toilets and showers all felt clean and one was always vacant when needed.

Still in the midst of my stay, but wanted to give a shout out to Atsu, who really hooked this old gal up. I thought my well into 30s self could still handle a dorm style room for over a week (from USA primarily to see the AO), after the first night I asked about an upgrade/options and Atsu went above and beyond in finding a private room while keeping it affordable. I’ve had great sleeps here and overall everything is well kept. My Aussie friend was impressed with the location and it really is accessible with walking or tram to all the things.

Honestly, nothing to complain about ,the bathroom and bed were spotless, the soundproofing was great, everything was well maintained daily, and they had different activities every day. The only downside was my roommate’s snoring kept me up at night, but that’s hardly the hotel’s fault. I’d definitely come back with earplugs.

I can highly recommend Space Hotel, especially for long-term guests. I initially only booked a week here to see what it was like but ended up checking out after around three months. Extending my stay was very easy thanks to their weekly rate. It has a chill, quiet atmosphere and is in a very convenient location. When I had difficulties with particularly loud roommates, the staff were incredible about it and I was able to move to a quieter room without any issues at all. After staying here for so long, I feel the least I can do is leave a review.
